Geriatric Dentistry
Geriatric dentistry is the delivery of dental care and treatment to older adults. This entails the careful care and consideration of diagnosis in conjunction with medical conditions and medications that impact an aging patient. Overall health is largely effected by oral health and this becomes even more evident as we advance in age. Chronic conditions in addition to physical and mental abilities largely effect oral health and particular attention should be given to our geriatric patients.
